3. Gawler Project breaks cover
The Gawler Mineral Promotion Project has demonstrated how to come to grips with the geology and mineralisation of a region generally obscured by hundreds of thousands of metres of cover. It produced a coherent model of mineralisation of the eastern and central Gawler Craton which links the iron oxide-copper-gold mineral systems with their coeval lode-gold deposits for the first time.

4. Metallogenesis of intrusive rocks of Victoria
Geoscience Australia has been compiling and synthesising datasets of various metallogenic parameters for intrusive rocks and country rock units of the Tasmanides of eastern Australia. This project is now expanding into the Tasman Fold belt of Victoria and synthesising metallogenic data for Victorian rock units.
