Byro WA Airborne magnetic and radiometric 100% N/A 83,855 line km; east-west Area 29,750 km2 400 m 60 m Data were released via GADDS on 2 October 2008. The survey covers parts of the Wooramel, Glenburgh, Yaringa and Byro 1:250 000 Map sheets.
Darkan-Wagin WA Airborne electromagnetic 100% N/A 1,127 line km; north-south 289 km2 300 m N/A Data acquisition commenced on 10 June and was completed on 21 June 2008 for the provision of airborne electromagnetic data over the Dardadine palaeochannel in South-West Catchment region of Western Australia. The survey covers parts of the Darkan and Wagin 1:100 000 Map Sheets.
Esperance WA Airborne magnetic and radiometric 36.8% N/A 82,674 line km; east-west over an approx area 29,200 km2 400 m 60 m The survey has been awarded to Thomson Aviation Pty Ltd. The survey covers parts of the Esperance, Malcolm, Mondrain Island and Cape Arid 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Balladonia WA Airborne magnetic and radiometric N/A N/A 43,449 line km; east-west over an approx area 14,960 km2 400 m 60 m The survey has been awarded to UTS Geophysics Pty Ltd and is expected to commence on 10 November 2008.The survey covers parts of the Balladonia, Norseman, Widgiemooltha and Zanthus 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Windimurra WA Gravity 100% 5,210 new stations. Over an approx area 30,000 km2 N/A 2.5 km; east-west N/A The survey was completed on 17 September 2008. The survey covers parts of the Cue, Sandstone, Kirkalocka, Youanmi, Ninghan and Barlee 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Cooper Basin East Qld Airborne magnetic and radiometric 100% N/A 214,352 line km; north-south over an area of approx 76,980 km2 400 m 60 m The survey was completed on 13 September 2008. The survey covers parts of the Windorah, Eromanga, Quilpie, Thargomindah, Toompine, Bulloo and Eulo 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Cooper Basin West Qld Airborne magnetic and radiometric 90.4% N/A 209,081 line km; north-south and east-west over an area of approx 74,410 km2 400 m 60 m Data acquisition commenced on 9 December 2007. The area of the survey with east-west flight lines covers the southern half of the Birdsville and Betoota 1:250 000 Map Sheets. The area of the survey with north-south flight lines covers the Canterbury (southern half), Barrolka (all), Durham Downs (all) and Tickalara (all) 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Normanton Qld Airborne magnetic and radiometric 100% N/A 114,487 line km; east-west over an area of approx 40,840 km2 400 m 80 m The survey was completed on 26 September 2008. The survey covers parts of the Galbraith, Walsh, Normanton and Red River 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Westmoreland-Normanton Qld Gravity 100% 5,977 new stations. Over an approx area 95,620 km2 N/A 4 km N/A The survey was completed on 17 August 2008. The survey covers the mainland portions of the Mornington, Westmoreland, Burketown, Galbraith 1:250 000 Map Sheets and all of the Normanton, Walsh and Red River 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Cooper Basin North Qld Airborne magnetic and radiometric 17.3% N/A 166,373 line km; north-south over an area of approx 59,480 km2 400 m 60 m The survey has been awared to GPX Airborne Survey and commenced on 29 September 2008. The survey covers parts of the Brighton Downs, Maneroo, Longreach, Connemara, Jundah, Blackall, Canterbury and Windorah 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
North East Tasmania Offshore Tas Airborne Magnetic N/A N/A 29,200 line km; east-west over an area of approx 18,750 km2 800 m 90 m Requests for quotation closed on 30 October 2008. The survey covers an area north-east of Flinders Island.
Central Arunta NT Gravity 100% 11,100 new stations. Over an approx area of 97,600 km2 N/A 4 km grid; east-west; with selected areas for infill at 500 m to 2 km N/A The survey was completed on 7 August 2008. The survey covers parts of the Mount Peake, Barrow Creek, Napperby, Alcoota, Huckitta, Hermannsburg, Alice Springs, Illogwa Creek and Hay River 1:250 000 Map Sheets.
Paterson N/A Airborne Electromagnetic 100% N/A 29,199 line km over an area of approx 45,189 km2 N/A 120 m agl The survey was completed on 14 September 2008. New data was acquired over two areas separated by the Rudall River National Park. The southern area comprises approximately 9,109 line km of northeast-southwest flight lines spaced 1 and 2 km apart with a flying height of 120 m above ground level. The northern area comprises approximately 20,090 line km of east-west flight lines spaced 1, 2 and 6 km apart with a flying height of 120 m above ground level. Data acquisition over the southern survey area was completed on 25 November 2007. Data acquisition re-commenced in the northern survey area on 27 May.
Pine Creek (Kombolgie) N/A Airborne electromagnetic 100% N/A 29,058 line km of airborne em; over an area of approx 72,412 km2 All areas are covered by flight lines spaced at 1,666 or 5,000 m 30 m agl Data acquisition is expected to commence during 2008 dry season. New data will be acquired over one area east of Kakadu National Park and two areas west of Kakadu National Park. The Pine Creek survey is the second AEM survey conducted under Geoscience Australia's Onshore Energy Security Program.
Pine Creek (Woolner and Rum Jungle) N/A Airborne electromagnetic 22.8% N/A 20,825 line km of airborne em; over an area of approx 44,689 km2 All areas are covered by flight lines spaced at 1,666 or 5,000 m 120 m agl New data will be acquired over an area west of Kakadu National Park. Data acquisition commenced on 11 October 2008.
