Australia Wide Geophysical Survey (AWAGS) Raw Edited Point-located Magnetic Data Released
The raw airborne total-field magnetic data acquired in 2007 during a continental calibration survey flown as part of the Australian Government’s Onshore Energy Security Program have been released. The survey collected magnetic and radiometric data on north-south flight lines spaced 75km apart across the Australian landmass. The data were collected and processed to increase the accuracy of intermediate wavelengths contained in the Magnetic Anomaly Grid of Australia. The data are available from the Geoscience Portal through the Geophysical Archive Data Delivery System (GADDS).
Geoscience Australia will be managing the data acquisition program in New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
