ANZMETA XML Document Type Definition (DTD) for geospatial metadata in Australasia

ANZLIC Metadata Guidelines: Core metadata elements for geographic data in Australia and New Zealand, Version 2 (February 2001)
ANZLIC released Version 2 of the guidelines following a minor review to address some inconsistencies and deficiencies present in the former version. A further revision of the Guidelines will be undertaken once an ANZLIC profile of the International metadata standard, ISO 19115 Geographic Information - Metadata, is developed.

To ensure that all dataset descriptions are of a consistent type, the Document Type Definition (DTD) defines the metadata elements and their order, structure, rules, and relationships. A DTD allows different instances of documents of the same type to be automatically processed in a uniform way. To be compliant with Version 2 of the guidelines, metadata records should be structured in accordance with ANZMETA DTD 1.3.
