- Comments and suggestions on version 1.0 of the DTD along with new
developments such as eXtensible Markup Language (XML) have
necessitated some revisions.

- In 1997 ERIN coordinated the development of this draft DTD. The
results of this work were published on the ozmeta-l discussion list
in May 1997 as version 1.0 of the ANZLIC metadata DTD.

1996, included a basic draft SGML DTD conforming to the core element
guidelines.
