In this true colour swipe comparison, colours appear as close as they would naturally to the human eye. Urban areas appear grey to white, trees and grasslands as shades of green and yellow, and water bodies as dark blue to black. The spreading of the suburbs south of the Clyde River is clearly visible with the growth of Catalina, Batehaven and Surf Beach, as well as with suburbs north of the river, with the development of Surfside and Long River. The Batemans Bay Village Centre, a major shopping centre just south of the bridge is also built during this time.
