In this true colour swipe comparison, colours appear as close as they would naturally to the human eye. Urban areas appear grey to white, trees and grasslands as shades of green and yellow, and water bodies as dark blue to black. Dubbo’s urban expansion has been predominantly to the west and east of town, with significant residential growth towards Mugga Downs, and also noticeable growth around Pioneer Park in East Dubbo. Note the vegetation colour difference between images. The very green pastural land surrounding Dubbo in the newer image is due to the heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding in December 2010.
