Lismore - New South Wales, Australia
The city of Lismore is located in northern New South Wales, approximately 35km inland from the east coast and situated on the Wilsons River. These images were acquired from the Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper sensor. True and false colour images for both a recent (2009), and an older (1988) scene are available below in high resolution JPEG format.

In this false colour swipe comparison, urban areas appear as purple and magenta, healthy vegetation as shades of green, cleared land and soils as shades of brown to red and water bodies as dark blue to black. Most infrastructure development has occurred on the eastern extent of the city in Goonellabah. Extension of the Lismore Airport runway can also be observed to the southwest of the city. Also notice that many plantations have appeared in Lindendale to the east over the time skip.
