In this false colour swipe comparison, the extent of the urban areas of Orange are highlighted in red. Over the course of the last 23 years, the city centre has expanded in all directions but with slightly more development to the north of the CBD around Bletchington and Narrambla. The Orange Sewage Treatments Works can be seen appearing in the northeast of the city. Also notice the new plantation growth in Kinross State Forest to the east of Orange, and the significant water volume changes of Suma Park and Spring Creek Reservoirs.
