In this true colour swipe comparison, colours appear as close as they would naturally to the human eye. Urban areas appear grey to white, trees and grasslands as shades of green and yellow, and water bodies as dark blue to black. Bundaberg has expanded significantly over the last two decades, mainly on the southern side of the Burnett River. New suburban developments include Avoca and Millbank in the west, Thabeban in the south and Kalkie in the east. Similarly along the coast the beach suburbs of Burnett Heads, Bargara and Coral Cove have all seen noticeable growth. Also the amount of sugar cane and other agricultural production that surrounds the city has likewise greatly increased.
