In this true colour swipe comparison, colours appear as close as they would naturally to the human eye. Urban areas appear grey to white, trees and grasslands as shades of green and yellow, and water bodies as dark blue to black. The expansion of infrastructure occurs mainly within the original town limits with an increase in residential density. Small farming properties appear northeast of the showground, and the south runaway is paved at Charleville Airport. Notice the significant changes in the surrounding landscape and vegetation, as the 2010 image is just two months after major flooding in the region.
