In this true colour swipe comparison, colours appear as close as they would naturally to the human eye. Urban areas appear grey to white, trees and grasslands as shades of green and yellow, and water bodies as dark blue to black. The white haze in the lower portion of the image is due to very thin cloud cover. Innisfail, despite suffering from numerous natural disasters in recent years including Cyclone Larry in 2006, has still seen urban growth in numerous areas, including Goondi Bend, Cullinane and Innisfail Estate, and also in Wangan to the south. The banana and sugar cane agricultural industries in the surrounding farmland have also grown notably.

In these false colour images, urban areas appear as shades of red. Vegetation appears in a range of blue to green, with blue representing more irrigated vegetation. Darker shades of blue or green represent forests, with lighter shades showing grasslands or agriculture. Barren soils or recently cleared crops appear bright yellow.
