In this true colour swipe comparison, 22 years of urban expansion can be observed. Notice the significant amount of industrial development in Laverton North appearing to the west of the CBD. Similar industry arises in Dandenong South along the Dandenong river 30km southeast of the CBD. The Ring Road is another prominent feature appearing over the time skip. Changes in vegetation colour between old and new images are due to differences in vegetation moisture content from inter-annual differences in rainfall.
