Overview
This project supported acreage release by providing a scientific overview and update of Australia's principle petroleum producing regions, investigating the potential for extending known petroleum system plays within producing areas.Status
This project concluded 30 June 2011.Achievements to date
- an improved geological understanding of Australia's offshore proven petroleum provinces to underpin the annual release of offshore petroleum exploration areas
- compilation and provision of pre-competitive information on the petroleum systems and prospectivity of Australia's offshore producing regions
