The Climate Change Project aims to determine potential climate change impacts or risk to society in terms of the physical or environmental damage and economic costs of extreme climatic hazards. Hazards of interest include severe winds, sea level rise, storm surge, flooding and bushfire. Impact or risk assessments have a focus on infrastructure, community assets and the environment. Current and future climate impacts and risks are considered. The primary focus for the Project is on Australia, although climate change impact/risk in neighbouring regions (South-East Asia, South Pacific) is also considered.
