Australian Stratigraphy Commission
The main purposes of the Australian Stratigraphy Commission are:
- to assist geologists with appropriately naming and defining stratigraphic units (including igneous units)
- to develop stratigraphic principles and classification for Australia
- to contribute to updates of the International Stratigraphic Guide.
