How to order our products

GST

  • All products include GST

Payment details

  • We require payment by credit card or cheque to accompany all orders.
  • We accept Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa.
  • If you are paying by cheque, please contact the Sales Centre first to confirm pricing.
  • Overseas clients please make out cheques in Australian dollars.

Placing an order

You can place an order by any of the following methods:

Postage and handling Charges

Standard Delivery within Australia up to ten items by Australia Post is AU$8.80, for larger quantities, courier and express delivery contact the Sales Centre staff.

Delivery of any order to overseas clients please contact Sales Centre staff for a quote.

Standards of Service

  • Sales Centre staff are committed to providing a high quality service to our clients. You will find our staff to be helpful, courteous and responsive to your needs.
  • If we don't know the answer to your inquiry, you will be transferred to the appropriate person without delay.
  • If our office is temporarily unattended or our phones are engaged and you leave a message, we will return your call within the next half working day.
  • If you email an inquiry to us, we will respond within the next working day.
  • We attempt to dispatch all orders within 48 hours of receipt, however there are occasions when we experience high demand and backlogs occur. We may also have to wait for "print-on-demand" products to be delivered. If there is a significant delay in dispatching your order, we will contact you and inform you of the reason and the likely delivery date.

We actively seek and value your feedback as a primary means of improving our services to better suit your requirements. If you have any comments or complaints about the service you receive, please let us know. You can contact the Sales Centre Manager to discuss any matter of concern.

Frequently asked questions

Q. Can I purchase your products from a local distributor?
A. Yes, the Western Australia Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources and the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines stock a limited range of Geoscience Australia maps for their state.

Q. Do you sell topographic maps?
A. Yes, the Sales Centre is the most comprehensive source of topographic maps in Australia. Product details and purchasing arrangements can be found at the Sales Centre pages.

Q. Do you sell soils maps?
A. No. Soils maps are available from the CSIRO Land and Water Division in Adelaide. Call Rob Bickford on (08) 8303 8539.

Q. Where else can I purchase Australian geoscience maps and publications?
A. State and Territory Geological Surveys have completed mapping programs in areas not covered by Geoscience Australia maps, or they may have maps of the area you are interested in at higher resolutions (1:100 000 or 1:50 000). Q. Do you have a product catalogue?
A. A hard copy catalogue is available on request from the Sales Centre or you can search for products on our website using a spatial or text query.
